The team at the Château de La Motte-Tilly invites you to the European Artistic Crafts Days!
A unique programme combining a participatory workshop, a historical and technical tour of the site and demonstrations!
> Wednesday 30 March from 2 to 4 pm
Veneer drawing workshop: create your own work of art with the help of art teachers from the Lycée professionnel Denis Diderot in Romilly-sur-Seine.
From 10 years old.
> Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April :
- Visit of the collections and discovery of the furniture: departures at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm.
In the company of our guide Franck and students from the cabinetmaking section of the Denis Diderot high school, follow a two-part tour on the history of the castle but also a more technical presentation of certain large-scale furniture.
- Demonstration of art craftsmen in the Orangery:
Discover creative skills and techniques, in the presence of craftsmen from the Aube department and the association "La FabriquenSeine": Tiffany stained glass by Anne Veyrier du Muraud, hat making by Marthe Dumas, "à la motte" turning and ceramic creation of dinette dishes by Natacha Roche Fontaine, creation and customisation of objects for miniatures by Frédérique Dillard, creation of a plush toy by Sylvie Noailles.
You could admire a fabulous doll's house, their collective creation.
You will also discover the profession of decorative upholsterer, with the presentation of the Atelier Maillard, which has restored and preserved part of the castle's collections.
This event is organised in the respect of the sanitary measures in force.
