The "Commune Libre de la Ville Haute" presents its new exhibition devoted to the painter Fernand Percheminier (1922-1993).
After arriving in Provins in 1984, he fell in love with the medieval town.
More than anything else, he enjoyed depicting landscapes with monuments, the keep, the churches, the ramparts...
Tracing his career, the exhibition will initially focus on the Burgundy region, where he spent most of his life.
But it was in Provins that he produced the largest number of his paintings...
Please note that the Harvest Festival, a major event that takes place every year in the squares and streets of Provins, will not be taking place this year, due to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!
The association looks forward to seeing you in August 2025, for the 52nd edition!
