Saint Eloi Festival and Craft Market

This great event will allow you to meet and admire the work of numerous blacksmiths and farriers from all over France!

Also on the programme: craftsmen's demonstrations, exhibitions of photographs, sculptures and on the theme of the Compagnons, and a country market!

Good to know about Saint Eloi: celebrated on 1 December, Saint Eloi is the patron saint of all trades working with iron, steel, copper and other metals.


> Forge demonstrations: from 9am onwards, all day Saturday and Sunday morning.
The Bouquet" will take shape in front of you, a sculptural work that will be offered to the municipality during an official ceremony that will take place on Sunday at the end of the morning. The installation in front of the town hall will be preceded by a blessing by the parish priest.
The inauguration will take place in accordance with the rules of the art, during which the hymn of the blacksmiths and farriers will be played.


> Craft market and exhibitions: Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
You will be able to discover the work and attend demonstrations by basket makers, potters, ceramists and woodworkers in the garden of the Médiathèque.
An exhibition of four photographers who have chosen to honour the work of craftsmen and an exhibition of sculptures will also be organised and can be seen in the Tourist Office.


> Country market on Saturday 11 December with products from local craftsmen and producers, in the small hall on the Place de l'Eglise.


> Exhibition: On the Road - Becoming a Tour de France Companion: Sunday 12 December from 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5.30pm.
Don't miss the last day of this magnificent exhibition at the Musée départemental de Seine-et-Marne, located at 17 avenue de la Ferté-sous-Jouarre.
It is devoted to the trades organised into "Companion Societies", with a presentation of masterpieces from the Federation's collections, as well as historical pieces and rare images on loan from the Musée du Compagnonnage in Tours.

Snack bar, food truck and brewer of organic beer on site.

This event is organised in the respect of sanitary measures, with the wearing of a face mask and thanking you for presenting a Health Pass.
