Before entering this architectural monument, be sure to admire its 12th-century fa\u00e7ade and magnificent window set in diamonds.<\/p>\n

Inside, you’ll find invaluable collections from archaeological excavations<\/strong> in Provins and its surrounding areas that date from prehistoric times and run through the Renaissance<\/strong> to the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Among the notable exhibition items housed here are the exceptional treasured remnants of Saint Quiriace Church<\/strong>: golden monstrances, a trinity icon from the 15th century (not currently visible as it is being restored) and Saint Edme’s chasuble made of silk lampas from the 13th century).<\/p>\n

The museum also features sculptures, paintings and rare objects, such as a baby hatch used to abandon orphans at church doors, etc.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” style=”shadow” accent_color=”#004e88″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n
