About
In *En ce temps-là, l'amour…*, David Brécourt brings a deeply human story to the stage. Through the recollections of a grandfather sharing a pivotal memory with his son, the play transports us onto a train bound for the death camps, where a father devotes his final moments to passing on the essential values that will shape his child into a man.
Structured in seven chapters—mirroring the seven days of Creation—the work blends emotion, poetry, and humor with rare delicacy. Never succumbing to pathos, it celebrates the power of love, the act of passing on one's legacy, and the preservation of dignity in the face of horror. It is a poignant, luminous production that touches the soul and leaves a lasting impression.
