About
The towns of Bray-sur-Seine and Jaulnes have joined forces to create this free, festive event on the Seine, a cross between a soapbox race and a carnival on the water!
The only challenges of the day are to have a good time in a fun atmosphere and to cross the finish line together.
Only folkloric and homemade boats are allowed to take part, and the sailors for the day, alone or with a crew, sail all day aboard their boat.
In this Olympic year, if the first 3 words of the Olympic motto (citus, altus, fortus) are not a goal, it's the last word, communiter (together), which is the common thread running through the day!
Beyond the festive spirit, the ambition is also to be part of the cultural heritage of the Seine et Marne with its encounters, its exchanges of joy and good humour...
At the end of the event, everyone wins a prize, a gold, silver or bronze can, depending on the category: the most original boat, the most elegant, the most unstable, etc,
the most elegant, the least stable, the crew that created the most atmosphere, and many more...
