Provins by Candlelight

Experience a moment of pure enchantment in the medieval town of Provins, lit up by thousands of candles!

Free entrance will give you access to the illuminated streets and squares, the grand concert in the Place du Châtel and the fire show in the Place Saint-Quiriace.

1. JAZZ MUSICAL AMBIENCE in the streets and on the Place du Châtel with the groups “Jill Street Band” on July 4, and “Robin Caresse Combo” on August 1. From 7 p.m. - Free entertainment.

2. SHOWS AND JUGGLING ON THE THEME OF FIRE. “Les R’Mon Temps”: sessions at 9 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., on Place Saint-Quiriace. Duration 20 mins. Free entertainment.

3. SONNERS from the outlet of Paroy. Throughout the evening, in the Saint-Quiriace church. July 4th only. Free entertainment.

4. THE CAESAR TOWER, a 12th century dungeon, will be illuminated by more than 700 candles! To enhance the enchantment, the captivating sounds of Lucie's handpan and double bass in July, then the delicate notes of Gaïa's harp in August, will vibrate the Gardes room. From 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Single price: €3 - Free under 4 years old.

5. ROMANTIC ATMOSPHERE AT THE PROVINS ROSE GARDEN. Start your evening in this magnificent garden offering a breathtaking view of the medieval city. Aperitif board and tea room on the terrace, shop and exhibition with free access. Open continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visit to the garden: €7 - Free under 12s. (TO BE CHECKED)

6. TORCHLIGHT GUIDED TOUR. Guided torchlight walk, for a discovery of Provins between light and shadow. Torches distributed only to adults, lanterns will be distributed to children. Subject to weather conditions and all safety conditions met. Departure at 9:30 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:00 p.m., 10:15 p.m., 10:30 p.m., at Porte Saint-Jean. Duration approximately 1h30. - Limited number of places. Single price: €12.

7. “CRINS DE FEU” EQUESTRIAN SHOW presented by the Equestrio company, in the ditches of the ramparts, at Porte St Jean. "In the light of the candles, our fiery horses will appear, full of charm and poetry. The flames will emerge, our steeds will dazzle you with equestrian feats in aerobatics and dressage stunts." Sessions at 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Duration: approx. 30 mins. Online reservation on equestrio.fr until Saturday 12 p.m., then ticketing on the show website on the big days.

8. TALES IN THE UNDERGROUND “LEGENDS AND BELIEFS”. Enter the captivating world of the Middle Ages with its stories of witches, fairies, ogres and dragons... and follow a strange character, the “wolf leader”! Departure at 6:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 11:00 p.m. Duration approx. 45 mins. Limited number of places.

9. THEATRALIZED VISIT “BETWEEN DOG AND WOLF”. Discover the exceptional lighting of the ramparts of Provins at nightfall! A fun and interactive format, where young and old go in search of a mysterious wolf hidden among them... Departure at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Allée des Remparts, facing the Tour aux Engins (large corner tower, facing the military cemetery). Duration approximately 1h30. Limited number of places.
