Provins by Candlelight

Experience a moment of pure enchantment in the medieval town of Provins, lit up by thousands of candles!

Free entrance will give you access to the illuminated streets and squares, the grand concert in the Place du Châtel and the fire show in the Place Saint-Quiriace.

To add even more magic, we've come up with some unusual and unique activities!

The streets, shops, keep and squares will be lit up by a thousand flames...

The session on 20 July will be doubly exceptional, as it will be organised to coincide with the passage of the Olympic Flame through the medieval town!
It's a great day of festivities and activities, so you can share in the excitement of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games from 10 am!
There will be plenty of free sports-related activities.
The flame will leave the Cesar Tower at 4.45 pm., and will make its way through the heart of the medieval town to arrive at the Tourist Office around 5.30 pm.

On the programme on the evening:

> Illumination at the Cesar Tower, a 12th century keep: intimate musical ambiance with Lucie and her magical Handpan.
- From 8.30 pm. to midnight.
- The single price applied will be the child price: 3 € - free for children under 4 years old.

> Illumination and free Jazz music live in the streets and on the Place du Châtel, from 7.30pm.

> Shows and juggling on the theme of fire with "Les R'Mon Temps" association.
- Shows at 9 pm., 9.45 pm., 10.30 pm. and 11.15 pm., on the place Saint-Quiriace.
- Length 20 min.
- Free entertainment.

> Romantic atmosphere at La Roseraie in Provins, garden offering a breathtaking view of the monuments of the medieval city: aperitif plaque and tea room on the terrace, shop and exhibition open to the public.
- Open continuously from 10 am. to 9 pm.
- Garden visit prices: adults: 7 € - free for children under 12 years old.

> Equestrian show "Fire Horses" presented by the Equestrio company, in the moat of the ramparts, at the Porte Saint-Jean.
"In the light of candles, our horses of fire will appear, full of charm and poetry. The flames will appear, our steeds will dazzle you with their equestrian prowess, their acrobatics and their stunts."
- Shows under covered seating.at 9.30 p.m. and 11 p.m., porte Saint-Jean.
- Length: about 30-35 min.
- Prices: adults 13 € - children (4 to 12 years old) 9 € - free for children under 4 years old.
- Ticket office at the entrance of the show and from 12 pm. on the D-days, or strongly recommended online booking on equestrio.fr (only in French).

> For a candlelit dinner and to prolong the pleasure, the restaurants and shops will be open at night in the Upper Town and in the downtown!
An additional catering facility will be set up in the courtyard of the Ville Haute school in rue du Palais.

Our parking tips:
As the Tourist Office car park is not accessible, we advise you to park in the town centre, in the usual marked car parks.
