About
Join us in the atrium of The Vie d'Autrefois Museum to discover an exceptional exhibition on the theme of ‘A Mummy's Day Out’!
You'll be able to admire objects from the lives of former railwaymen, preciously kept by and composed of precious objects belonging to Daniel Combrexelle, a former railwayman, himself the son and grandson of railwaymen!
He had the honour of being at the controls of the locomotive on the Orient-Express, departing from Gare Saint-Lazare. He is also one of the founders of the Musée Ajecta, the Railway Museum.
The Vie d'Autrefois Museum is a real journey back in time to the everyday life of our great-grandparents between 1800 and 1950!
With 103 life-size reconstructed scenes, 2 miniature scenes (including 1 small electric train in a breathtaking setting) and a unique collection of over 70,000 items (tools, objects, vehicles, costumes, etc.), you're in for a real intergenerational experience!
For lunch, you can eat in the ‘Chez Grand-mère’ restaurant, with a view of the full-scale Eiffel Tower.
