About
For its 43rd edition, this welknown foot race proposes 2 routes of 6.3 or 18.3 km in the heart of an authentic medieval city.
The starting point is located in Alain Peyrefitte avenue, near the gymnasium and the police department of Provins. This avenue allows the best ones to extract of a pack of thousands of runners that strolls under the foliage of boulevard Aligre, between rivers and ramparts, before facing the fearsome ramp that leads to the "Trou au Chat".
The climb continues until the Jouy's Door. A few yards of coblestone road leads the runners to the medieval Place du Châtel that is surounded by beautiful half-timbered houses.
Then, all the emblematic monuments of the Upper-Town will be offered to the runners's eyes: Collégiale st Quiriace, Ceasar's Tower, Savigny hotel, and Tithe Barn. After an exit by the St Jean's gate, the walls and the towers will then be given to see. The descent towards the valley allows the tired legs some rest to be able to go along the river and reach the place du 29 âme dragon: the arriving point.
After the race, the runners could get some rest with the medical satff, and have a snack.
