This summer, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be synonymous with UNESCO!
Provins will have the honour of hosting the Olympic Torch Relay on Saturday 20 July 2024, with the support of the Department of Seine-et-Marne.
A unique opportunity to celebrate the values of the Olympic spirit and sport.
The passage of the flame will echo the priceless wealth of our thousand-year-old city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
• From 10am, 5 themed entertainment zones welcome you to experience free sporting and cultural activities:
🔵 OLYMPIC ZONE in the courtyard of the Lycée Thibaut de Champagne: tennis, judo, rugby, basketball, taekwondo, pétanque, boxing…
🟡 ZONE CULTURES URBAINES in Place du Châtel: Street Art demonstrations/initiations, DJ set, breakdance, scooter and skateboard ramp…
🟢 ZONE PLEINE NATURE ET BIEN-ÊTRE near the Porte de Jouy: yoga, cyclocross, archery, climbing wall, roller skiing, parkour…
⚫ ZONE SPECTACLES ET SCENES MUSICALES dans le Théâtre des Remparts: medieval fencing, equestrian dressage demonstration, concerts…
🔴 DIGITAL SPORT ZONE in the Tourist Office hall: surfing and canoeing in virtual reality, 3D simulation of golf, football, handball, baseball, boxing and fencing and many other sporting disciplines on an interactive digital wall for duelling Olympics!
Don’t miss the Mozaic wall, where you can immortalise this historic moment and take part in the creation of a collective work of art…
• At 4.45 pm.: the flame will start at the top of the Cesar Tower, cross the courtyard of the Lycée Thibaut de Champagne (former palace of the Counts of Champagne), pass through the Place du Châtel and the majestic ramparts, to arrive at the Provins Tourist Office.

We invite you to turn out in force to support the athletes who will be carrying the flame with pride!
Special times for a special day: the historical shows The Eagles of the Ramparts and The Legend of the Knights each offer a single performance at 11.30am!
At last, this historic date will be extended by an exceptional evening of “Provins by Candlelight” !
Provins and its heritage will then shine with a thousand flames…

🟢 Parkings:
All parkings are free!
• Usual car parks in Provins town centre:
– 178 places in the quartier Delort, between the Saint-Ayoul church and the Centre Culturel et Sportif de Saint-Ayoul (cultural centre).
– From 400 to 500 places, on the place du 29e Dragons and in the avenue Alain Peyreffite, facing the police station.
– 129 places, located rue Sainte Croix, near the sub-prefecture.
– 76 places, on the place du Cloître, near the Tour Notre-Dame-du-Val.
• Special car parks for the event:
– Car park at the sports complex, along the Route de Nanteuil.
– “Distillery” car park, accessible via Route de Bray.
– Allées or Boulevards d’Aligre, accessible via Avenue Alain Peyreffite (for the record, these boulevards mark the site of the old ramparts, which have now disappeared).
• Motor home access: development of 2 flat areas:
– car park at the sports complex, along the Route de Nanteuil,
– Place du 29è Dragons, on the west side, opposite the Raymond Vitte gymnasium (opposite the police station).
• PRM access: spaces have been reserved for you in the Tourist Office car park, on presentation of proof of identity only.
• Please note that the Tourist Office car park will not be accessible during the day or evening, except PRM.
⚫ Access:
As well as by car, you can reach us by train, bus or even by carpooling at the various stations!
